A one day course dedicated to giving new puppies the perfect building blocks to a happy family life
Working with a puppy and their family forms a large part of any dog trainers work, this course will help you understand puppy development, how to get it right and how it can go wrong and dont forget they were all puppys once
This course is available for you via Zoom and runs from 10am-4pm for full day courses and 6pm - 9pm for courses over two evenings
You will receive a Zoom invite and course notes 2 weeks prior to your course date and also the day before your course date if you book with less than two weeks to go so everything is easy and taken care of for you

This was a fantastic day, really well put together, really well paced and the trainer was so knowledgeable and motivated about the topic it really helped deliver the information with friendliness. I really recommend this course to anyone that has involvement with puppies.
Absolutely loved this course, really gets you thinking about how a dog develops, loved the fact it was a Zoom course as I struggle to get time to take all the courses that I want to do this way there is no travel time to worry about and Steve gave plenty of opportunity to ask questions and he answered everyone. You get course notes and if anything else is beneficial to the group Steve sent it afterwards.

Really interesting discussion of all the background protocols for socialisation, introducing positive exposure to stimuli, and setting pups up for behavioural success . I really enjoyed going through the structure of puppy clases, the training details for each specific behaviour, and the protocols to enable positive experiences and errorless learning for pups (and handlers!). Great tips on puppy home visits , client management, and use of training theory to succeesfully unlock the full spectrum of desirable behaviours with ease.

A comprehensive and fun course taking you through all the essentials for puppy classes including development and watch outs. Delivery is just superb - easy to understand, great real life examples and plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
Hi I had a great day at the perfect puppy course in Liverpool, it was so informative and things were easily explained. . I also went back the next day for Aggression and Rehabilitation which was brilliant as expected..I would recommend to everyone who wants to further their knowledge.

I went on this course and found it extremely informative, the tutor is one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met. He is amazing and I just wish I had the knowledge he has. All of the IMDT courses are amazing and you learn loads attending them.
Yet another super course! So much really valuable information packed into one day. I have already used one tip for one of my dog walking customers who has a 4 month old pup who is mouthing a lot Thank you to Mus who is always great to listen to and really knows his stuff. I'll be back for more!
Left me buzzing and wanting to try out new exercises. Real in depth knowledge to help plan classes and help owners understand the stages their puppies are going through. If in doubt just book this course!

Excellent foundation course with a nice mix of theory and practical. The course is delivered in a fun but professional way which makes learning easy. I have completed several IMDT courses over the last few years and I am sure I will do more in the future.

Less practical / hands on demos that I had expected but very thoroughly enjoyed and learned alot. Would have been good if Steve gave more details on the sources behind the science for those of us interested in the academic side. Thanks alot, looking forward to the Aggression course in April.
Entertaining and Interesting with lots of useful info. Good mix of theory and practical work. This is the 3rd course I have been on with the IMDT and haven't been disappointed and well worth travelling all the way from Devon for. Looking forward to doing more courses with the Imdt.
If you work with puppies this course is an absolute must. The information is so clear and sympathetic to the needs of a little pup. I loved learning about the different aspects of puppy development and with the practical demonstrations it was perfect. Another IMDT course that I could do over and over again !!!!!!
I'd heard good things about the IMDT and chose this as the first course to do. I really enjoyed the course and wouldn't have thought I could possibly learn so much in just one day. I came away really inspired by what I'd learned and was determined to be part of this amazing organisation. I have since gone on to do other courses with the IMDT and am now proud to say I am a full member. This is a great starting point for anyone who wants to be a really good trainer and, if you do this course, I am sure (like me) you'll be left wanting to do more.

Learnt loads and a brilliant course all about different stages a puppy grows and learns and interactive course making you think on how to do different activities and exercises with the puppy and always fun as well..
Fabulous course as usual. Learnt loads about puppies and how to structure classes. Great group of people with the dogs best interest at heart. I feel much more confident about running some puppy classes now.
Really informative day. As a dog trainer 90% of the dogs I work with our puppies, this was a day well spent. This course gave me the confidence to start puppy parties for a local vet who now recommend me to all their canine clients.
