An in-depth 90 minute recorded webinar for you to watch and revisit time and time again

A very important webinar for all Trainers and Behaviourists

Presented by David Brice, Head of IMDTB

A webinar designed to tackle the most important aspects of working with carers and their dogs.
This webinar will give working Trainers and Behaviourists the information needed to work safely in a variety of different consultation and training environments.
This is of course vital in relation to ensuring that the carers, the general public, the dogs and ourselves, are protected from risk and injury whilst we are working in what is normally a solitary profession.

The webinar covers:

•Types of consultation
•Similarities in Risk Assessment
•Defining the differences in Risk
•Safety equipment and clothing
•Initial Risk Assessment
•Personal safety – environment
•Personal safety – people
•Personal safety – ‘the’ dog!
•Putting it all together for different situations
•Planning and using the risk assessment results –case studies

You will receive a certifcate signed off by the IMDT upon completion of this webinar

Once booked, you can re-visit this webinar as often as you please!

I found the lecture to be most helpful, thought provoking and in places eye opening. Having been in the business for over thirty years, both as a behaviourist undertaking visits and as a teacher showing students the importance of and how to complete risk assessments I considered I was already fairly well acquainted with the subject. However, every day’s a school day, and there were many points that I hadn’t considered, and although my visits are rare these days there were suggestions I will definitely be adding to my approach. For example, don’t take off your shoes even if requested, take shoe covers with you; block the gate so it can’t be closed behind you and one I should have used many years ago, ring or text on arrival, don’t ring the doorbell!Thank you, for a very interesting and useful lecture, much of it revision but yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks...

1-2-1 training consultations can be nerve racking. I have often visited complete strangers in their homes, in the middle of nowhere and in the dark! This webinar has helped me review my procedures, putting lots of practical safety aspects into place. Quite scary that I hadn't thought of these things before.

A grateful 1-2-1 trainer
