Overview

Animal Kind Dog Training and Behaviour has been offering all-around training for puppies, adolescent and adult dogs since 2010, to turn them into calm, happy dogs and great family pets.

We offer 121 Dog and Puppy Training and Behaviourist consultations - for all ages of dogs, breeds large or small...and problems, major or minor for issues ranging from general puppy training, socialisation, obedience, agility, dog-to-dog aggression, and settling in new rescue dogs. 121’s are available across the West Midlands and Warwickshire but get in touch with us and we can advise you on what your pup or dog would benefit from and what you need. https://www.animalkind.co.uk/contact-us

121 sessions start with a Bumper Puppy Power for pups & a Dog Training & First Assessment for dogs, aged 8 months plus, where we focus on common puppy and dog training problems. Packages or PAYG follow-ups are available if you need more than one session.

And for the more complex issues, my business partner, Chris Wills offers 121 Behavioural consultations. He gained a MSc in Animal Behaviour from the University of Newcastle in 2017, is a member of the APBC (Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors), was awarded a Dogs Trust Behavioural Scholarship in 2024, and is currently working towards becoming a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist.

Fun, family-friendly and small group classes start with the 3-week Puppy Socialisation course for partially vaccinated pups, through to practical life skills and obedience for fully vaccinated pups at the 6-week Young Pups Obedience & Socialisation course, both held in Solihull.

Older puppy clients or rescues who have missed out on basic training can progress to the 6-week Tweenies & Rescue Obedience course and then the more advanced 8-week Agility, Obedience & Recall course, both held at Solihull Riding Club in Dorridge.

Finally, or if we think your reactive dog could benefit from the support of other dogs, you can put your training to the test on our two Top Dogs - Out and About courses where we go on a train, a bus, to some canal locks, to meet some alpacas, and around a few village and town centres, often with a social element at a pub at the end, where your dog can work on settling in a social setting around other dogs. What’s not to like?!
