IMDT Trainer, Dynamic Dog Practitioner & Animal-Centred Education Practicioner

I am a, science-led, positive-reinforcement dog trainer based in Northern Ireland and the founder of The Daisy Dog Academy. With over 7 years of professional experience and a passion for understanding dogs as individuals, I work with and supports owners and their dogs using a holistic, animal-centred approach that blends behaviour, learning, emotional wellbeing and physical function.

As a Full Member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), a Mantrailing Global Head Instructor, a Dynamic Dog Practitioner and an Animal-Centred Education (ACE) Practitioner. This unique combination allows me to look beyond surface behaviours and consider how a dog’s body, nervous system, emotional state and environment all influence how they cope with the world.

My work is especially focused on helping dogs build confidence, resilience and emotional regulation, whether they are puppies learning how to be dogs, adolescents navigating that tricky teenage phase, or adult dogs struggling with stress, reactivity, fear or overwhelm.

Scentwork Classes to harness dogs’ natural sniffing ability for confidence and calm

One-to-One Behaviour & Training Packages, tailored to the individual dog and family

My Dynamic Dog Practitioner training means I am also qualified to assess posture, movement and physical function, recognising when discomfort, imbalance or pain may be influencing behaviour. This allows me to provide truly joined-up support and work alongside veterinary professionals when needed.

Above all, I believe that behaviour is communication, and that dogs thrive when we listen, support and set them up to succeed. My approach is kind, evidence-based and deeply practical — helping owners not only improve behaviour, but build lasting connection, confidence and trust with their dogs.
