Overview

Hi. My name is Sam. I am a canine behaviourist, based in Bishops Waltham, Hampshire. I’ve been working with dogs professionally since 2014.

I provide 1-2-1 training and behavioural advice for all dog's life stages, from puppies, adolescents, senior dogs, rescues, reactive dogs or dogs who struggle around various distractions, and show unfavourable behaviour that is causing you issues

I specialise in teaching strong foundations for good recall/focus and lead walking issues. I also have a strong back ground in detection style scent work and tracking and utilise this in many of my consults

I promote holistic and emotionally caring methods in training and behavioural advice, that helps the caregiver understand the reasons for their dogs behaviour.
Understanding your dog better can often help resolve or support ongoing issues for dogs. All advice given focuses on building a strong and positive relationship between caregiver and canine and providing up to date, appropriate advice dependent on your dog and your personal situation

I have 3 of my own dogs. A 4 year old working cocker from active agility lines. We are currently training with the voluntary team at Southern Counties Lost Dog Tracking Network, and should be operationally searching to help reunite lost dogs with their owners by the end of 2026 having passed our Level 1 assessment in January 2026. We are training ongoing for this and for recreation

I have a 4 year old foreign street rescue who is very sensitive and needs a lot of gentle Handling. He came as a very shut down foster dog needing rehab, and I adopted him forever in June 2026 when I realised how specialised his needs were

My 3rd is my new puppy. She is from active working and sporting lines. She’s a springer/kelpie/collie mix, and I hope to track operationally with her also, (and work at any other dog sport she may enjoy once she’s a little bit bigger ❤️)
