Overview

Hi, I'm Karen aka Mrs Dogsbody. A name that was suggested by a client and seemed to fit perfectly as it really is all about dogs in my world ( please don't tell my husband!)
A chance request by a neighbour many years ago led me to start a dog walking business and leave my full time job. I love this aspect of my work as it enables me to have quality time with dogs and be focused on giving them a great walk.
My interest in training began when I met a lady, whilst out dog walking, who had previously worked for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home as a Senior Behaviourist. I attended consultations with her, shadowed trainers at puppy classes, completed a variety of courses and read a lot!
It was then a natural progression to study with The IMDT and pass their assessment process.
I became interested in scent detection due to the many benefits that it offers our dogs (and, therefore, owners) and, therefore, studied with The Dog Training College, in order to become a qualified scent detection instructor.

As all qualified trainers know, dogs learn best in an area with minimal distractions at first. Therefore, I offer puppy and adult dog consultations, as well as scent detection consultations, in the comfort of your own home, instead of in a class surrounded by other dogs!
I absolutely love my job and the opportunity to keep learning about our amazing canine companions.
