FEAR FREE
Working Together - Dog Training and Behaviour in the Veterinary Clinic

Finding the time to incorporate dog training and behaviour in to a busy vet clinic can appear daunting to veterinary staff. As professional dog trainers we can work together with veterinary staff to provide pet owners, and other pet industry professionals, with the knowledge and tools to not only look after a pet’s physical wellbeing but their emotional wellbeing as well.
Practical training applications, clever marketing ideas and useful education tools will engage and educate dog owners visiting the veterinary clinic - and in turn bring new clients to your dog training business.

TOPICS:
1. Training & Behaviour - A veterinary team's perspective
2. Finding the time for Fear Free/Low Stress Handling in the Vet Clinic
3. Working together - Professional dog trainers and their role in the vet clinic
4. Practical training applications and marketing ideas to engage and educate
5. Videos, videos, videos – A closer look at husbandry training - to meet the needs of the individual pet and their human.
6. The results - well mannered, calm patients in the vet clinic, new clients for dog trainers, and most importantly - happier dogs!

“Working in the veterinary industry for over 20 years I see on a daily basis the time constraints placed on veterinary staff, and the often rushed answers to behaviour and training questions that clients may ask. Working together with veterinary staff, dog trainers can provide valuable resources and marketing strategies to engage and educate clients visiting the vet clinic. This results in well-mannered, calm patients for veterinary staff to treat, new clients for professional dog trainers, and most importantly happier dogs!”
